The firm is currently growing its team and it is our goal to attract diverse, well-trained, and talented architects to share the same vision of pushing the boundaries of tropical architecture in West-Africa.

With our head office in Lagos, one of the fastest growing cities in Africa, we are interested in the place-making of African cities and in the creation of unique spatial experiences.

Clients I Partners I Collaborators

Studio Elementals values its clients, and it is our priority to provide professional consultancy service with a satisfactory outcome for the client.

–  We listen carefully to the client’s vision and needs to formulate a detailed project and design brief for our projects.

–  We design custom solutions and unique spaces and building envelopes considering the urban context (access, community) and climatic conditions (solar radiation, wind direction, soil properties) for each building site.

–  To keep operating costs after handover low, Studio Elementals designs with green building measures

such as integration of solar power, solar water heaters, insulated glass, natural ventilation where possible, independent anaerobic digestion sewage treatment, rainwater collection, use of natural materials, etc.

–  We help guide projects through green building certification systems such as IFC EDGE of greater value and funding opportunities.

–  Studio Elementals values good and clear communication with the project client but also with all project stakeholders, such as other consultants, agencies, and community.

Green Building

We are committed to sustainability and green building design techniques.

We have an in-house EDGE Expert and can lead a project through the green building certification process. EDGE (Excellence in Design for Greater Efficiency) is a green building certification system focused on making buildings more resource-efficient (www.edgebuildings.com).

Green buildings can prove to be more profitable while making a lighter carbon footprint.

Certification typically leads to a value increase for the project and better funding opportunities, while keeping running costs to a minimum through the planning of energy consumption reduction and water consumption reduction.
